Maame Afon is an internationally recognized thought leader and a passionate advocate for women, girls, and leaders globally. She is also a recording artist who uses her music to promote social change and philanthropy. Maame has leveraged her vast experience, principles of intersectionality and passion for transformative leadership, philanthropy, facilitation and impact coaching to support organizations, including AWDF-USA, Global Fund for Women, We Care Solar, the World Bank, United Nations Federal Credit Union, Mastercard Foundation, World Connect, Blue Lake Project, Street Business School, Nurturing Minds and MILEAD Fellowship. She is a consummate networker who facilitates joyful connections. As an outstanding and dynamic facilitator, Maame shapes experiences and holds space for brave and essential conversations. She is the Founder and Chief Steward of MILT (Mindsets for Impactful Leadership & Transformation), which she established in 2017. She also serves as Chief Guide for Chief, a private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders. Furthermore, she serves as the Team Lead & Visionary for the AfriWomen Network as well as Vice President – Strategy & Relationship with the Blue Lake Project. Maame holds a BA in French and Spanish, and an MA in Human Rights, Gender, and International Policy Studies.  She is the recipient of several awards and recognitions for her contributions to social justice causes, international development, leadership and philanthropy. Maame enjoys her calling as a wife and mother raising 3 phenomenal children.
