Hello Friends! We had a fruitful first session for the Bloom Series on Saturday, May 23, 2020! Thank you for joining Shadrack and I to hear our mentorship journey and story!

Sorry to have missed some of you! We are glad to share some of what transpired during our time together.

In sharing our mentorship journey, Shadrack and I, along with other participants explored and examined in detail various facets of mentorship and how to sustain healthy, long-lasting, and meaningful mentorship relationships. Our conversations on leadership, especially for young and emerging leaders in these unprecedented times, reinforced the idea that the world needs paradigm shifts and new models of leadership!

I believe that what the world needs to heal and to be restored is leadership that is rooted in Christ-Centered Values and Principles! A recent post from Nobel Peace Laureate – Leymah Gbowee speaks to this idea of Christ-focused leadership. She writes, “Yes, I won the Nobel Peace Prize. Yes, I am a global thought leader, but personally, what I hold most sacred is my status as a daughter of Glorious Jesus, and my role as His daughter is to remain in His will…Trust God, hold on to him, never let him go. Stay in his path and no matter how fast your friends are going, stick with God. Relax in him and watch him take you to a place where your mind has no means of visualizing.”

There is a hunger for mentors, coaches, shepherds, and leaders who are led to lead. It is my fervent hope that the Bloom Series will ignite, activate, and start a movement to support, amplify and elevate Christ-centered Leadership. At MILT, we are on a mission to raise leaders with strong and healthy foundations, which also includes Christ-focused leadership.
